Koalas live exclusively in specific eucalyptus forests along Australia's east coast. Deforestation, climate change, and urban sprawl are increasingly destroying their habitat and threatening their survival.

In the wild, koalas live for about 10 to 15 years, with males generally having a slightly shorter lifespan than females.
