Facts about penguins:

Cool Facts

• Penguins are birds that cannot fly, but are excellent swimmers. They use their wings to swim through the water and are faster than many other seabirds.
• Penguins have a special adaptation that helps them stay warm while swimming. They have a thick layer of fat under their skin that protects them from the cold, and they also have a special type of feathers that make them waterproof.
• Penguins are very good divers and can dive deep into the sea to hunt for fish and other marine life. Some penguins can dive up to 500 meters deep!
• Penguins are very good parents and both participate in brood care. They keep their chicks warm and protected by placing them under their bellies and covering them with their feathers.
• Penguins have a special way of communicating. They use different sounds and movements to communicate with each other, and they can also change their voices to make themselves understood in different environments.
